About Peddler

ABOUT US

Peddler Brewing Company is a microbrewery with a tasting room and large beer garden located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA.  At Peddler, we strive to be a gathering place for beer lovers and support bicycling as an awesome way to get around our beautiful city.  Owners Haley and Dave Keller spend their time making and selling beer, advocating for cycling, and riding bikes, so in a word, they’re Peddlers.

We are excited to be a business dedicated to building community through bicycling and advocating for safer streets and better bicycling infrastructure.

Peddler Brewing Company loves everyone, especially individuals who choose to get around town on bicycles.  Enjoy a ride along the Burke Gilman trail to come visit the brewery.  Along with feeling at home in our tap room, we have discounts for you!

If you are part of a bicycle organization and would like to use our space or beer for an event, please contact us as we are always happy to help out our fellow cyclists.

DOG AND KID FRIENDLY

Peddler is a family-friendly place, all ages welcome.  We have a "half-pint" area for kids to play and a changing table in one of our restrooms.  We also love dogs and they are allowed in our beer garden (note, service animals only allowed inside our tasting room).

OUR STORY

Owners Haley and Dave Keller combined their love of riding bikes, brewing, drinking beer, and desire to own a business when they opened Peddler in March of 2013.  They spend their time making beer, advocating for cycling, and riding bikes, so in a word, they’re Peddlers.  Peddler Brewing Company started with a 7-barrel brewhouse and upgraded in June 2014 to a 15-barrel brewing system that now has eight fermenters.

Dave’s younger brother Mike Keller joined the team in July of 2014 to sell and distribute kegs and bottles to local bars, restaurants, and stores.  Peddler Brewing Company’s environment is unique to the Ballard area.  At Peddler, we pride ourselves in providing genuinely friendly customer service, supporting and building our local community, and creating an environment that feels like a natural extension of your own living room or back yard.

Our Story

MEET THE FAMILY

DAVE KELLER

CO-OWNER / BREWMASTER

A lifelong cycling enthusiast, Dave began his brewing career in college, homebrewing batches for house parties.  Immediately after graduating with an Engineering degree from Ohio State he relocated to Seattle.

Drawn to the area by the immense natural beauty and recreational opportunities he had found a new home.  After 5 years of cubicle life, he was ready for new adventures.  In 2012 he and Haley set out to start a brewery and Peddler was born.

HALEY KELLER

CO-OWNER / FINANCE & RETAIL OPS

Haley’s love of cycling and beer are owed to Dave, starting back in 2008 when they went on their first date.   A local Washingtonian, Haley graduated from Seattle University with a BS in Mathematics and Master’s in Teaching.

While Haley loved teaching, the desire to own her own business drove her to start Peddler.   When she isn’t running Peddler’s front-of-house operations and finance, or caring for her two young children, she volunteers her time making Ballard a vibrant and welcoming community by serving on the board of the Ballard Alliance.

MIKE KELLER

ASSISTANT BREWER

Dave’s younger brother, Mike, studied Supply Chain Management at Arizona State and moved to Seattle to work in the transportation industry.  After a year in Seattle, Dave and Haley needed an extra hand at Peddler so Mike joined the team in 2014.

Mike initially worked in the tasting room and later that year started and ran the wholesale distribution by selling and delivering beer to bars, restaurants, and stores around town.   He is now transitioning to the production side as an assistant brewer.
