Kellstorm Design

After earning my BS in Mechanical Engineering I moved to Seattle and worked as a design engineer at Boeing for 7 years. My first role was with the 787 development program where we pioneered the use of model based definition and composite materials. Later I transitioned to the Flight Test Instrumentation group which was responsible to for the design, manufacture, installation and in-flight operation of instrumentation for all flight test programs. Looking for a change of pace my wife and I then started a microbrewery that we built from the ground up into a successful production brewery with a vibrant taproom along with robust keg and can sales. That project spanned 10 years and had me filling numerous roles including: architectural design, permitting, licensing, commercial space build out, brewmaster, sales, marketing, procurement, HR, management and, last but not least, beertender. Having sold the business in early 2022 I'm now doing remote, part time work where I can leverage my wealth of engineering design and hands-on experience to create exceptional value for clients.
